In January and February the focus of our yoga classes in Streatham will be Winter Wellness: Nourish and Restore.
In winter, reduced daylight and lower temperatures often lead to less activity, which can contribute to increased stiffness, slower circulation, lower mood and reduced motivation. Consistent movement helps maintain joint health, boosts energy levels, supports immune function and keeps the body resilient through the season.
In this course we will focus on one aspect of winter well-being each week. The series will help us cultivate comfort in our bodies, confidence in our movement, and a sense of calm through the heart of winter.
What we’ll explore together:
Restore and set up your intentions – Week 1
Arrive, ground and release the holiday tension. Focusing on our intentions for the upcoming year.
Warming from Within – Week 2
Yoga poses to build safe, steady warmth and to awaken the body.
Immune Support – Week 3
We will move to improve circulation, lymph flow, and digestion.
Mobility & Ease – Week 4
Enhance fluidity and joint mobility in the colder days.
Winter Balance & Stability – Week 5
Develop inner and outer steadiness with balance work and grounding breath.
What you’ll get from the course:
- Movement that feels good
- Better balance, mobility, and everyday comfort
- Support for circulation and winter energy levels
- Practical tools to calm stress and tension
- A weekly moment to reconnect with your body
We practice on Mondays at 7 pm (very limited availability) and also I am starting a new group on Tuesdays at 10.30 am.
